Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Fictional Characters I would Crush On

Top Ten Tuesday

I’m really loving all the Top Ten Tuesday topics. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish and features various bloggers sharing their top ten list on a topic each Tuesday. The topic is “Top Ten Fictional Characters I Would Crush On if I was a Fictional Character”. So I’ve decided that being a fictional character means that I will be roughly the same age as any of my fictional crushes, considering at the moment they run the gamut. Today’s a top  five six not ten for me(I’m stingy with my fictional crushes).

1.  Peeta, from The Hunger Games

Oh man, I could write entire post about how I love Peeta’s characterization. (Oh, wait, I did).  I LOVE how he portrays to have typically “feminine” qualities without being effiminate. He bakes. He paints. He’s the kind, quiet soul. He’s the romantic one in the relationship, and I LOVE that! I also think his casting in the movie was perfect.

2. Four, from Divergent

I love how caring and selfless Four can be. His abnegation really shines through at time, but his dauntless is in full-force too.

3. Oliver from The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight

Because a)He’s British, b) He’s funny/charming, c)He’s sweet, and d)He’s smart.

4. Jack from Everneath

Fun fact: I can never remember if it’s Jack or Jake, which probably wouldn’t bode well for a relationship, but I like his character all the same. Definitely crush-worthy.

5. Prince Kai from Cinder

I would have loved to see more of Kai in Cinder! He’s definitely one of my favorite fictional boys.

6. Mr Darcy from Pride & Prejudice

What list could be complete without Mr. Darcy? Classic fictional character crush right there.

7. Faramir from Lord of the Rings

Totally a last minute addition, as I saw his name on a couple of list and thought “yes, of course!” I liked Faramir the minute he came on to the page.

8. Oliver from Going Vintage

Oliver’s a little quirky, I’m a little quirky. I like it.

I thought it would be really easy to get to ten today, but I think the reason I had trouble is because I’m to much of a “what-if”-er to embrace all my fictional crushes. There’s a lot of boys in books that I like as a romantic lead for main characters, but would not PERSONALLY crush on. (Hopefully I’m not the only one with this problem!)
