Life in January:
January was a pretty good month to me. I’m still adjusting to not being in school for the first time in two years, but that’s a welcomed change! Other than that, January wasn’t the most exciting month, but it was very productive. I’ve been working a lot on my 2018 goals and resolutions, and I’ve finally checked off a few things on the to-do list that had been sitting there forever! Other than that, I mostly read a lot, especially during the middle of the month where it got super cold here for the area. Let me tell you, I am not cut out for temperatures in the single digits.
I’ve been going along on my Gilmore Girls annual rewatch (I finished seasons 4 & 5 and I’m halfway through season 6), but more importantly I watched all of season 2 of One Day at a Time in a single weekend and if you’re not watching this show, you are missing out! It makes me laugh and cry and I’ve never loved a sitcom so much.
I read A LOT this month. It’s amazing how much reading I get done without school (imagine that!). I read 18 books this month, including 3 novellas and 4 graphic novels. I had a really great reading month, because not only did I read a lot, but I read a lot of quality books. Most of the books I read were 4 stars, and on the whole my ratings definitely skewed more to the positive side, though I did have one DNF.

It was really, really hard to pick between Girl Made of Stars and Beneath the Sugar Sky, but I think I have to go with Beneath the Sugar Sky. The entire Wayward Children series is so magical and I love everything about it.
