Most Anticipated 2018 Books

Barbed Wire Heart by Tess Sharpe

I loved Sharpe’s debut novel Far From You way back in 2014, and I’m ready to see her take on an adult thriller.

Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson

HELLO, I mean that name alone sells the book quite well, doesn’t it? I enjoyed Anderson’s The Only Thing Worse than Me Is You, but this sounds totally different and unique.

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats & Piracy by Mackenzie Lee

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue was my favorite 2017 release, and I spent that entire book going “PLEASE let me get a Felicity book!”. My wishes have been granted. All I want is a book about Felicity being awesome and not wanting to kiss anybody, please.

What if It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera

I’ll read anything Becky Albertalli writes. I’ll read anything Adam Silvera writes, so this book is a no-brainer as an anticipated title. I don’t even care what it’s about (though it sounds great), I would seriously just read the grocery list of either one of these authors.

Girl Made of Stars by Ashley Herring Blake

I love books that deal with tough subjects, and this one sounds like it’s going to be an excellent book to add to the canon of YA books that tackle sexual assault. This book is about a girl whose brother is accused of rape by one of her closest friends, and I’ve never see a book from that kind of perspective before. I suspect it will be excellent.

Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli

It’s a Becky Albertalli book about LEAH. What more is there to say except that I absolutely cannot wait and it’s going to be my first pre-order of 2018?

Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire

I love Wayward Children series and the way Seanan Mcguire writes these books. While Every Heart a Doorway will probably always be my favorite, everything in this series is so magical.

“Leah on the Offbeat” was on my wish list the second I read about it! 😀 I loved “The Upside of Unrequited” so much that there’s no chance that I won’t read this one (or anything by Becky Albertalli really).

I have to admit that I haven’t read anything by the other authors mentioned (expect Adam Silvera) but I will take a look at them immediately since I normally like every book you review, too 😉 Oh, and “Every heart a doorway” is still waiting on my ereader for it’s time to shine.

    Have a great new year!
