Sunday-Wrap-up-2

My Week

I had a pretty good week. Last week I felt like a good chunk of time had to be spent regaining my momentum after going to my first few in-class sessions. This week I felt more content with where things were at + I have been killing my classes(if I do so say myself). I’m still in that mood of being EXCITED to be back in school and I’ve totally been taking advantage of it to really get ahead and pour myself in my school work. Though now I have this persistent reminder in the back of my head that I need to pick my classes for next semester soon, because requests for advising(which have to be filled out before registration) opens October 1st. OCTOBER. FIRST. Not very long from now at all.

On Book Blog Bake

On Monday I reviewed Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy, which I absolutely loved!
Tuesday I talked about a new way of TBR management and how I had to change my thinking.
Wednesday I reviewed Lock & Mori by Heather W. Petty, which I also really enjoyed.
Thursday I shared some mini-reviews.

 Question of the Week:

Since everyone’s excited about fall already(let’s just ignore the fact that it’s not actually fall yet), what’s your favorite part of this season? I do love all the apple things(apple cider! apple scents!) and scarves.

  1. It feels like it went from being summer to all of a sudden it’s fall overnight. My favorite thing about fall is change. I accidentally wrote a small section in Tattered Heart all about how we crave change in the fall because it’s easier to move about in ourselves and our lives with the world itself is malleable. Now I think of that every single year and it’s true – I always embrace change in the fall 🙂

I read too quickly and thought you meant registering for next semester classes was on October 1st, and went isn’t that soooo soon? Lol.

Love Fall because SCARF + SWEATER SEASONNNNNN. I rarely eat/drink seasonal things but I probs should because deliciousness!

    • Stormy

Ha, well I think registration starts October 15th! I’m not 100% about that, but I remember it being earlier than expected.

Yes, scarves and sweaters! Though Texas probably won’t get cold enough for me to wear sweaters until December, if ever. It’s a toss-up every year.

  3. great to hear that your week went well! going from doing nothing (or very little) to going back to school is always a tough transition and this year i’m feeling it more than past years. but now that the weather is FINALLY cooling down, maybe it’ll help me finally come to terms that summer is over and school is starting.

apple things are great! apple cider, apple pie, apple crumble – like you, i love it all! i also love cozying up with sweaters and wearing boots and layering skirts with tights. autumn is just always such a great time of the year!

    • Stormy

Yeah, that transition can be tough, and I’ve been out of school for two years, so I’m really feeling it!

Apple is the best! as are sweaters and boots(though tights often evade me. I only have a few pairs. Not often needed here in Texas!)

  4. My favorite part of fall is definitely the food: apple, pumpkin, squash…yum. I’m reading QoS right now, so I’m looking forward to discussing with you when I’m done. 🙂

    • Stormy

I am with you there on the apple and pumpkin(but pumpkin FOOD only, never drinks, ever ever). Ahh, yes, people to talk about Queen of Shadows with!

      • Ew, agreed. I could probably be persuaded to try pumpkin juice if I ever found myself at Hogwarts, but otherwise, no thanks. Only 140 pages to go! I will definitely finish tonight.

  5. I love scarves too! I feel like it’s the only accessory I really understand how to use correctly, ha ha. I also love the changing leaves!

    • Stormy

ooh, that’s me exactly! I am not good at accessorizing, but scarves, I can do that! I mean you can come up with complicated ways to tie them if you really want, but getting the basics down is easy.
