The Sunday Wrap-Up{75}

My Week

My week, guys. It’s been a busy one in the mostly not-fun sense. Interview, jury summons(in a county I am no longer a resident of, so I had to get THAT clear up right away since that’s a disqualification, & it’s also my 3rd jury summons in as many years), my car started making a rattling noise that does NOT sound good, etc. I’m kinda just exhausted from the week, honestly. Some of it was good stuff(that would be the job interview), but most of it was just. . . tiring.  I think I’m just gonna take like a week-long nap, ‘kay?

Oh, but in happy news–IT’S FINALLY SPRING, GUYS. Isn’t that exciting?(The answer is yes. Spring, aka my favorite season, is always exciting).

On Book Blog Bake

Monday I reviewed The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma. READ THIS BOOK.
Tuesday I shared the top 10 books on my spring TBR. Will I finally succeed in completing a seasonal TBR? Stay tuned to find out.
Wednesday I reviewed Fault Line, which was a disappointing read for me.
Thursday I reviewed Fade Out by Nova Ren Suma. Not nearly as good as The Walls Around Us, but still enjoyable.
Friday I posted my seventh DNF round-up.

Favorite 5

Err. . . yeah, totally did not manage to keep up with the rest of the blogosphere this week.

I struggled through a few books at the beginning of the week, so I was kinda surprised I managed to read a book at all this past week.

Make it Count by Megan Erickson

Inland by Kat Rosenfield
Teeth by Hannah Moskowitz

 Question of the Week:

What’s your go-to pick me up when you’re having a busy(not necessarily bad, just busy) week? If I’m having a bad week I tend to hide out with Gilmore Girls & chocolate, but a week like this past one where things are just busy and not necessarily bad I tend to blast a lot of upbeat music.

I hope the job interviews went well! Do you think you’ll have to wait long to hear back?

Is reading too obvious an answer? If my head is too full to concentrate on reading, though, I’ll usually do a crossword puzzle to distract myself. Or mindlessly scroll through Goodreads lists. 🙂

I think it could be awhile. I was one of the first people they interviewed, and the interviews are pretty much all-day things, so it’s not a very fast process.

Ha, no, reading’s not too obvious an answer! I actually have a lot of trouble reading to unwind during weeks like that because my mind just keeps going. I actually do the mindless scrolling through Goodreads list too! It’s actually really relaxing, haha.

  2. Sounds like you had a busy week :(. I hope next week is better for you! When I am having a busy week I apreciate reading time even more or baking something yummy. Or eating something yummy. I also love spring!

Very busy! I actually have a lot of trouble reading during busy weeks–it’s hard for me to turn my brain “off” of my to-do list & concentrate on a book, so I typically end up watching more TV(which, for some reason, doesn’t present the same problem).
