Blogging Mentors{Day 15 of the Book Blogging Challenge}

Posted November 16, 2013 by Stormy in Blogging / 3 Comments

I’ve decided to participate in the 15 Day Book Blogger challenge hosted by Good Books and Good Wine. This is definitely a move-at-your-own-pace challenged(which is AWESOME), so even though April did her challenge a month or two ago, she left the linkys opened. Yay! I should also note that I’m not doing these EVERY day–I might do one or two a week. I’m too much of a scheduler to try and do all fifteen days in a row!

15 day book blogging challenge

It’s the last day of the 15 day book blogging challenge! It’s been fun, even though it’s taken me a few months. Today’s topic is about blogging mentors. I’m not sure I really have blogging mentors in the traditional sense of the word “mentor”, but there were a lot of people I looked up to when entering the blogging community (& still do!), and who welcomed me.

Most of those are on my blog roll page, but special mentions go to:

The Welcome Committee

Jamie @ The Perpetual Page-Turner

Brittany @ The Book Addict’s Guide

Kristin @ Matched Manuscripts

Blogs Who Inspired Me

Blogs that were unique & original and inspired me, especially at first. I continue to find new & unique blogs on what seems a weekly basis, but these were some of the first blogs I found when I started blogging and who (unknowingly) introduced me to the community.

Debby @ Snuggly Orange

Judith @ Paper Riot

Renae @ Respiring-Thoughts

  1. Mentioning the people who helped you out is a nice way to finish the challenge. 🙂 I have been enjoying reading your responses to this challenge.

  2. […] On Monday I reviewed Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. My Top Ten Tuesday this week was 10 covers I’d like to redesign. On Wednesday I talked about my bookish deal breakers. Thursday I reviewed The Fallout by S.A. Bodeen. Friday I reviewed The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. And then Friday night brought a second, impromptu post: a post about how I want a culture that values creative content. Saturday I talked about blogging “mentors”. […]

  3. Thanks for the shout-out Stormy! I’ve loved watching your blog grow. Ever since you started, your posts have always been smart, funny, and original. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
