Fling those Books Far{Day 4 of the Book Blogger Challenge}

I’ve decided to participate in the 15 Day Book Blogger challenge hosted by Good Books and Good Wine. This is definitely a move-at-your-own-pace challenged(which is AWESOME), so even though April did her challenge a month or two ago, she left the linkys opened. Yay! I should also note that I’m not doing these EVERY day–I might do one or two a week. I’m too much of a scheduler to try and do all fifteen days in a row!

DAY 4: LAST BOOK FLUNG ACROSS THE ROOM

To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever actually flung a book across a room, though I have forcefully dropped my Kindle on my bed with lots of cushioning as a way of getting out the same reactions. I mean, sometimes book characters do stupid things, and it does often make me want to channel Luke:

The last book that made me feel this way? Probably Tumble & Fall. I WANTED it to be a good book so much, which made the inevitable let down all the more disappointing. It was just. . . not good. Seriously.  Luckily, I have this GIF on the loop so I can cathartically watch Luke push Jess into the lake over and over and over again.

  1. I love the Gilmore Girls. This gif reminds me that I need to rewatch the show. I can’t remember the last time I wanted to throw a book across the room. I probably have blocked them out of my memory!

      Haha, yeah, I don’t have that reaction very often. I try to chose books that won’t quite get that reaction in me. And it’s always time for a Gilmore Girls rewatch!

    Well, it’s a very good GIF, so I can’t blame you for watching it again and again. It’s almost hypnotic.

    And Tumble and Fall’s cover is just so lovely, it’s such a shame that it isn’t enjoyable at all.

      It is! Just watching Luke pushing Jess into the Lake over and over and over again.
      Tumble & Fall has one of the BEST covers. The ampersand on it just makes me happy. I’m sad the contents didn’t do the same.

  3. Haha oh that gif xD Tumble & Fall was a really weird book, I was just reading it with a blank expression on my face and sometimes would just go “Oh really?”. I would never fling a book but doing it in my head is good enough hehe

      For sure. I really wanted Tumble & Fall to be awesome but some of the things that happened were just. . . more than I could suspend disbelief before.

      Yes! I don’t use GIFs very often, but I don’t know how it get better than a well-placed Gilmore Girls GIF.
