Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, which features (you guessed it!) top ten lists on a given topic each week. This week’s topic is Top Ten Books on my Fall to-be-read Pile. As normal, these are in no particular order! Some of these are books I need to get around to reading that I already own, and some are Fall releases.
1. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
I’ve been anticipating this book since JANUARY. January, people. Fandom and an incredibly introverted, shy main character? Is this a book about *MY* life? Apparently, yes. I cannot wait to read this one. I just want it in my hands ASAP.
Edit: I have read & loved this. ‘Tis the problem when you write TTT like this three weeks in advance.
2. All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill
At first, I was going to pass on this book without knowing what it was about. I’m not sure why, because I like the title and the cover, but the book just never stood out to me. But THEN I learned this is a time travel book, and well. . . we all know how I feel about time travel.
3. The Brokenhearted by Amelia Kahaney
I won an ARC of this from Epic Reads, and I’d like to read it in October. Some of the early reviews seem pretty mixed(I see the term insta-love popping up a LOT), but it still sounds it could be my kind of book. Bionic hearts!
4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass
Clearly, I am the last person to read this book. I need IN on this train, especially since Crown of Midnight, the sequel, has been getting FANTASTIC reviews. This totally sounds like my kind of book, so as silly as it sounds, I’m almost “saving” it for after a book I might not like as much. Am I the only one who does that? I can’t really see myself NOT liking this, so I want to save it almost as a palette cleanser.
5. Hourglass by Myra McEntire
More timey-wimey stuff. AND this is a trilogy with all the books out, so I can go directly to the next book if I so desire!
6. The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
This book looks so DIFFERENT and good. I’m so excited to read about teenage profilers. It look suspensful and awesome and potentially a great October/Halloween read, since I do suspense but not really horror. PLUS, I LOVE the cover for this book! It looks like a TV show advertisement.
7. The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
It’s Neil Gaiman. GAIMAN. I’m on the list for this one at the library, so hopefully I get to read it this Fall. Here’s to wishing the people on the wait list ahead of me are fast readers.
8. Unsouled by Neal Shusterman
Unsouled is the 3rd book in the Unwind series by Neal Shusterman, and I NEED this book. It probably says something about me that I want a book I’m pretty sure will emotionally scar me & creep me out a lot like RIGHT NOW, but yeah, SO looking forward to this one!
9. Allegiant by Veronica Roth
I’m pretty sure this one is self-explanatory. . .
10. Just One Day by Gayle Forman
This one is sitting on my shelf, but I’m attempting to wait until Just One Year is released so I can read them back-to-back!
So, what’s on your Fall TBR? I’m curious!
