For reasons still unknown, I thought it would be fun to film a book haul vlog. So, I did. We’ll see how it goes. It took me a couple of times before I was even mildly comfortable with it, so it may be my only video haul I do, but we’ll see!I still included all the books I received/bought down below(and in case you’re wondering, I really do talk with my hands that much in real life as well).

I’ve been pretty good about not buying books, but I did by two(very cheap, used books) at Hastings this week. I bought:

Graceling by Christin Cashore
The Dark Side of No Where by Neal Shusterman

Other than that, I’ve been utilizing my local library(um, going to the library three times in a week is normal, right? Just checking). I’ve checked out:

Boundless by Cynthia Hand
Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Legend by Marie Lu
For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
The River of No Return by Bee Ridgway

  1. You sound exactly how I thought you would! XD I love seeing bloggers do vlogs once and a while. I’m excited for you to read Legend (because Day is very swoon-worthy and both characters are geniuses), as well as The Demon’s Lexicon! I haven’t read the first one, but I never thought about them being like Supernatural, and it’s so true! I hope you like it, it’s very different than more paranormal books, and the main character isn’t super likeable, but he is super interesting!

So my speaking voice matches my writing voice? Hah, so interesting! I typically hate hearing myself speak(like most people), but I didn’t mind this one as much. I keep remembering all the good things people have said about Legend. I found I actually had some making the vlog, so I’ll probably incorporate it every once in awhile, if only to get experience using different mediums!

  2. I really enjoyed your vlog, you are so soft spoken! Nice haul, I’m jealous of your signed coy of The Distance Between Us, I’m dying to read that. And I will, soonish 🙂
    Happy reading.

Thanks, Trish! And The Distance Between Us is great, so I hope you enjoy it whenever you get to read it!
